Good to know
What's included in the free trial?
Two weeks of full access, including premium tools, plugins, and iOS Relay. No credit card required. When the trial ends, you can stay on the free version or purchase a license.
What is iOS Relay?
iOS Relay lets the Cogitae iPhone or iPad app connect to your Mac over the internet with end-to-end encryption. Local network access over Bonjour still works without it. After the included trial period, Relay is $5/month.
Do I need my own API keys?
Yes. Bring your own keys from providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others. You pay providers directly, with no markup from us.
What provider do you recommend?
Start with one strong everyday model, then add others as needed for comparison, specialization, or cost. Cogitae works best when you can choose the right model for the task.
What happens after purchase?
Your license key is delivered by email right away. Enter it in Cogitae to unlock the full version, including one month of iOS Relay.
What about my privacy?
Your conversations stay on your device and go directly to the AI providers you configure. We do not store your email address. For licensing and fraud prevention, we store your license key, a secure cryptographic hash of your email, and IP addresses.
What if I lose my license key?
Visit the Support page to recover it. Be sure to remember the exact email address you used, because recovery depends on matching the cryptographic hash of that email.
